Staypineapple has always been an inclusive brand. Every year in June, Staypineapple changes over their logo on social media to a pride version - with the standard 7 color pride flag. Recent changes made to the more inclusive flag made it paramount that Staypineapple’s pride logo would need to be updated. We used the design of the flag inside the pineapple, expanding the new triangle section into it’s leaves working with the contours of the crosshatch of the pineapple. This revamped logo is used with any of the Staypineapple Pride partners, including NYC pride. We were pleased with the inclusive nature and perfect fusion of the Staypineapple Logo and Pride flag.

Originally known as Project Phoenix, Staypineapple was looking to branch out into the licensing and management sector. The goal was to stand out among other major hotel licensing companies such as Marriott International and IHG. We needed the brand to also tie into the existing Staypineapple Brand. I took inspiration from the half pineapple, it’s always used split vertically, but what about horizontally? That change in design along with highlighting one of their other primary colors, green (representing finance and stability) made the brand tie in with their existing brand. This brand is to not be used for their lifestyle hotel brand but for the financial side of the brand including pitchdecks, case studies and financial reports. The project strengthened their presence in this sector and set it apart from their existing collateral.

Lokey Products is a line of Magic Mushrooms homegrown in the PNW. Lokey Products does not have a logo or packaging for both. The packing needs to not only function as packaging for the mushrooms but also a variety of other products - including edibles like brownies, rice crispies, etc. The inspiration for Lokey Products came from the mythical god Loki, their ability to adapt to many different forms. We used a gold and green color pallet to complement the holographic bags. It was also decided for each strain to feature local artist’s illustrations to compliment the colors on the bag as opposed to the identity color pallet.
